National Iguana Awareness Day is coming up ...

Welcome to www.niadoftx.com!

Our goal is to educate the owners or future owners of iguanas in Texas, so that we may aid in brining the iguanas standard of living up to par.  Thousands of iguanas die every year due to misinformation.  If we can educate Texans about iguanas and save one iguana's life, then we have made a difference.

This site was developed in order to help the public become more aware of the specific requirements necessary for sustaining healthy iguanas! A lot of published information about iguanas is outdated and in many cases just incorrect. Believe it or not, pet store employees will not aways be honest with you about the animals you are thinking about buying. Sometimes they will say anything if they know they can make money off of you.

Iguanas are wonderful, sweet, and unique creatures that require an enormous amount of care - in turn, they will reward you with an enormous amount of love. So please, learn as much as you can about your future or current pet so that you know exactly what you are getting into. The life you will save will be your best friend's.
